The European Union is considering a ban on nudify apps after Grok, a chatbot developed by Elon Musk, became an example of the dangers of AI platforms. This comes after Grok failed to block sexual images of real people, including children.

EU and Ban on Nudify Apps Related to Grok
The European Parliament’s Internal Market and Civil Liberties Committees voted 101–9 to simplify legislation around artificial intelligence. They propose a ban on AI systems that generate so-called nudify images, after the EU Commission previously concluded that existing laws do not prevent the generation of child pornography or sexually explicit deepfake images.
This proposal is important to strengthen protection against harmful content and to ensure that AI technology is used responsibly. It may lead Musk to make Grok less controversial in order to comply with new regulations.
