Pentagon Excludes Anthropic After Refusal of Military Demands
The Pentagon decided to exclude Anthropic after the company expressed concerns about the use of their AI systems for mass surveillance of American citizens. Warren describes this decision as “retaliation” and points out that the Pentagon could have terminated the contract instead.
Warren’s statements reflect concerns from several technology companies and human rights groups that have supported Anthropic. The company has also sued the Pentagon for violating its free speech rights.
